I’ve always thought of myself as a Biz/ ESP specialist, what with having a specific qualification in it (LCCI something or the other, they keep changing the name), publishing a long forgotten Biz photocopiable book and doing a fair bit of that for Onestopenglish. When my new employers meet me, however, something about my manner, dress, voice or big red nose makes them think I’d prefer to jump around in front of 30 screaming three year olds.

So, clowning about with tiny tots is what I have spent about 25% of my career doing. Despite having no qualifications in teaching kids, rapidly fading energy levels and no musical or artistic ability, I’ve tried to make the most of it by trying out as many games, songs and storybooks as I can, and writing it all down.
