Giving advice multiword verbs practice

Choose one of the problems below and ask your partner’s advice. They should give you their ideas with “If I were you, I’d…” and you should then respond with “Thanks, I’ll try that”, “That might work. Maybe I’ll give that a try” or “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Your teacher will tell you which version of the worksheet to use.

When your teacher stops you, share one solution and see if the class agrees.

Ask about any situations which you don’t understand, can’t think of a solution to, etc, discussing possible solutions as a class.
