IELTS Speaking Part One homework writing task
Write approximately half a page with personal information about each of these topics:
- Your work and studies
- Your friends and family
- Your accommodation/ hometown
- Your travel and tourism
- Your free time/ hobbies
- Arts and media and you
If you are not sure what to write, make sure there is a mix of present, past and future information. It’s also a good idea to look at some IELTS Speaking Part One questions on these topics, but don’t write your descriptions in question and answer format. After you have finished, go through each description again with a dictionary to add more complex/ advanced/ high-level language and check for errors.
Next week your partner will read your description, comment on things you have in common, and then ask you for more details about each topic. Your teacher will tell you if they will also then take it in to edit it and give you feedback.
