clothes vocabulary/ comparing and contrasting phrases practice
Objective First Unit 1
If you are using cut up cards, your teacher will tell you if they should be face up or face down. Choose two cards and say at least one similarity between them and at least one difference between those things. Note that some words below have the same meaning as each other, so if you pick those words you will have to think of other differences between them. All comparing phrases used in the game must be different – you cannot copy any phrases that people have already used in this game. However, phrases which are just slightly different from comparisons people have made before are fine. If your partner agrees with the comparisons and thinks you have used original language, keep the cards or cross off the cards below, then take turns doing the same.
When your teacher stops you, look at all of the cards and ask about any vocabulary you are not sure about, working together to compare it to other vocabulary each time.
