When your teacher stops you, ask about any feelings above you aren’t sure about, working together as a class to make suitable sketches and/ or mimes each time. Then change partner. Choose words from above and compete to produce the best picture or facial expression.

Ask your teacher for the meaning of any words above you don’t understand, can’t pronounce, etc, trying to imagine how they might be connected to the video each time.

As you watch the video, put up your hand if you think you can make a true sentence using any of the words above (including the feelings language at the top). You get one point for each correct sentence but lose one point if you make a wrong sentence. You can only use each word once during the film, so tick each word off as someone uses it.

When the video ends, work together as a class to make true sentences with any vocabulary that hasn’t been used.

Extension/ Production

Design an amusement park or theme park. Include things that make you:

  • Amused
  • Calm/ unstressed/ relaxed
  • Confused
  • Disgusted
  • Dizzy
  • Frightened/ scared/ afraid
  • Impressed
  • Laugh/ giggle/ chuckle
  • Scream
  • Surprised/ shocked

You can also include places you can go if you are:

  • Hungry
  • Smelly
  • Thirsty
  • Tired/ sleepy/ exhausted

And places where you can:

  • Buy balloons or go up in a balloon
  • Change nappies/ diapers
  • Fly/ float in the air
  • Rip/ tear things
  • Shoot a bow and arrow or something else
  • Win, see or buy goldfish

Present your ideas to other groups, and vote on the best from other teams.
