Alex did you do your TESOL Diploma in Tunbridge Wells Kent by any chance in 1992. I think I remember the name. Great Blog and I thought I would say hello as I am looking for work in Sussex for the summer at the moment so these tips are really helpful

Alex I read the information you posted dealing with the pronunciation of ch and sh of ESL learners, It is really interesting. I am doing a research about it here in Chile so I would really appreciate more information about it. Where can I find more information related to the pronunciation problems of sh /ch in learners? do you have any research of this? Thank you.. i´ll be waiting for your answer…

Hello Mr. Alex. I’ve seen your work on “Closing lines for different kinds of email”. And there you have: “I hope this is acceptable with you”.I was told that using “with” is not grammatically correct. I thought that maybe it’s British. So, could please help me and explain. Thanks in advance

That’s a very good question! Dictionaries say “acceptable to” and “I hope that is acceptable for you” also comes up as a Google search term, and most “I hope that is acceptable with you” Google results are by me! It still sounds most natural to me, though. It could perhaps be a fixed phrase that is old fashioned but has remained in letters and hence formal emails like “Dear Sir” and “Yours sincerely”??
