Possessives and adjectives pick and draw drawing game

Instructions for teacher

Cut up one pack of cards per group of two or three students. Take out any cards which you don’t think are suitable for your class, e.g. the “Its” card if you haven’t presented that. You can also add extras, but make sure that they are drawable with at least half of the adjectives. Students take turns making sentences to be able to draw that thing on the board or on a piece of paper, with a boy if the sentence has the “His” card, with a girl with the “Her” card, with a picture of themselves with the “My” card, with a picture of their partner with the “You” card or with a picture of a robot with the “Its” card. They then continue adding more things to each picture as they make more sentences. When they finish, ask them to describe their finished pictures with similar language.
