Instructions for teachers
This game is based on “Yuppies” in Intermediate Communication Games. Cut the worksheet into cards and ask students to deal them out. Students should take turns saying why one thing from their hand is better than the card their partner has just laid down. They must use a different comparative adjective each time, e.g. “My oil is rarer than your gold” or “My PDA is more compact than your computer”. The game can be played with pictures (as in the examples below) or with flashcards with written words.
