Five years, four million page views!

To put that into some kind of perspective, this single video from fellow Japan-based TEFLers Super Simple Songs has had 125 million hits on Youtube, most of my hits are for worksheets on my blog rather than actual blogging, and if my own experience of looking at TEFL stuff online is anything to go by probably less than 10% of those page views were actually people finding what they were looking for. Still, with the other stuff I do online and on paper and the fact that one teacher could use a worksheet with tens of people, I have probably managed to have some little effect on the teaching and studies of at least a million people, something I would have laughed at the idea of five years ago. Constantly reminding myself of that fact very nearly makes all the finger tapping and consequent lack of exercise for the rest of my body worthwhile!

If you’d like some of that warm glow too, get yourself a WordPress blog and get it listed on Onestopblogs today. If I can do it, you most assuredly can too!

Dear Alex, I am not surprised by this news at all! You are simply the best. I wanna thank you on behalf of (I’m sure millions) of teachers here in Asia for your help, your dedication to the world of TEFL and all the wonderful articles you have published.

Please know that we all appreciate your work and if it wasn’t for you, I’m sure many of us would have had a very very hard time to coping with teaching English as many of us are not qualified teachers, but other professions who have now undertaken the task of helping so many others to speaking the language.

God bless and once again, thank you!!!!
