Snap and pelmanism in EFL classes (TEFLtastic classics Part Seven)

Pelmanism and snap articles and PDFs. If you like anything here and want more, please support TEFLtastic.

I’ve been writing an article on collocation games and perhaps the biggest role of all is played by these two TEFL classics. So I thought that I may as well give the list of related articles and worksheets I came up with while writing that bit:

  1. alexcase's avatar alexcase says:

Pelmanism is easy to adapt for online classes. Make sure that the cards are mixed up on the worksheet (as unfortunately mine are usually not), change the text in the cards to white, then get students to change it to black every time they choose a card (in an editable format such as Word, as it won’t work with a PDF). If you want to score, they can then change it to a different colour if they match successfully (e.g. red for one player and blue for the other). The same could also work for Snap, as long as they remember which two cards they changed to black most recently, but it’s a lot more fun with real bits of paper.
