11 hours

How long it takes a foreign Premiership footballer to get from zero English to enough to operate on the football field, according to this “article” from the Daily Mail and this virtual identical piece of amusing fluff from the “newspaper” The Sun. Could there be some involvement of a PR agency in this “news story” by any chance??

On the topic of sarcastic quotation marks, teaching my students the air quotations mark gesture and how to do it properly is one of the most TEFLtastic moments in my teaching career!
