Took me a while to work out that it was spam the first time I was offered one, but the signs are easy to spot once you’ve had a few emails on the topic. For some strange reason they almost always offer to write about technology in TEFL (on my blog, ha!) and they always but always work for online education or travel websites. Having seen other bloggers fall for it over the years, the resulting guest posts are utterly worthless, usually consisting of vaguely adapted tips from general education or a list of websites they got from a single Google search. More importantly, they are spam and so not to be encouraged. If we all ignore them, maybe they will stop. Yes, that’s you I’m talking about, Ms Lindsey Wright of OnlineSchools.org!
