Although I’m sure I’m not the first, came up with this more fun variation on pelmanism (also known as pairs or the memory game) when brainstorming things to practise “They are…”
Students put their hands into a bag without being able to see the contents (such as plastic fruit) and try to pull out two objects that are similar in some way and describe them with sentences like “They are red”, “They are small”, “They are vegetables” and “They are apples”.
