Free Coursera MOOC for TEFL teachers from 12 May

from the American government and University of Oregon, which certainly sounds pretty impressive. Open to anyone with the technology and who reckons they have the English level to do it:

US Department of State to Offer Second Massive Online Course for English Language

– it’s actually about teaching skills rather than a language development course as the original headline would suggest. The actual course is here:

Shaping the Way We Teaching English 2: Paths to Success in ELT

Seems to be the only stuff about teaching English on the famous MOOC provider Coursera.org so far.

    Over 15,000 people signed up, and around 11% of the 19,000 participants finished the previous course.
